Principal Analyst

Sue Holz has been in the market research arena for more than 15 years.

Her interest in this profession was peaked when she commissioned  a market research house to conduct consumer research on Diners Club cardholders – this was many years ago as her role as Marketing Manager for Diners Club International.  Her interest led her to undertake a Masters Degree in International Business whilst living in Asia.

During her time there her skills were tested when freelancing for the likes of Euromonitor, Austrade, Price Waterhouse Coopers and many other very exciting companies working in the region.  

Sue Holz established Research by Design in 2007.  The company’s main charter, apart from making a profit, is to make market research more user friendly in the everyday business world.  Traditional market research stems from an academic environment and Sue firmly believes that with lateral thinking and flexibility traditional market research methodologies can be cleverly adapted to world of SMEs.

Sue’s talk this evening will mainly focus on demystifying the world of market research and give you some tools to take back to your workplace so that you can benefit from accumulating knowledge to grow your business.
