Mark is a respected thought leader in the Asia-Pacific digital media community. A frequent speaker and panelist, Mark offers keen insight to how leading global and regional brand marketers and media companies are optimizing their digital media content distribution strategies to differentiate themselves from competitors as they capture, retain and engage viewers, fans and customers. Through his extensive work with media companies and brand leaders including Samsung, Sony, J.P. Morgan, TV New Zealand, ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) and NineMSN.

Mark has developed a model for best practices in digital media publishing. He is known for sharing thought-provoking views and insights on both a deeply technical level as well as at a commercial and strategic level for lines of business leaders. Prior to Brightcove Mark worked through dotcom one and two with Allaire, Macromedia and Adobe in a variety of senior field and headquarters based roles in Asia Pacific and North America cutting across sales, marketing and product management.

André La Porte is a Creative Director and Trendspotter, and soon to be founder of La Porte Creative, Brisbane’s newest full-service ad agency.  For the past 18 years he has worked within the advertising, marketing and media industry and has an excellent understanding of both the media and the society that consumes it.

During the past four years André has operated as a freelancer providing creative direction to his direct corporate clients and SME’s along with moonlighting for various advertising agencies. In order to service his increasing client list, André will give birth to a dynamic creative agency called La Porte Creative - due in August.

His experience includes marketing, advertising and brand development for clients such as Goodlife Health Clubs, Wendy’s, Dreamworld, NineMSN, Mincom, Allianz Australia, Greyhound Australia, Tourism Queensland, AMF Bowling, V8 Supercars and Mitsubishi Motors to name just a few.

Due to his personal and commercial interests in Youth Culture, Consumer Behaviour and Technology André has also been ABC Radio’s ‘Trendspotter and Cool Hunter’ since 2003. Each week André provides listeners throughout the nation with interesting insights and discussion on current and upcoming trends that maychallenge the status quo, along with cool ideas from both Australia and around the world.
