    The Calile Hotel is located at 48 James Street, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006
    Networx will be on the function level, take the lifts to Level 1.

    Parking:

    The Calile Hotel Secure Car Park entrance is through Ada Lane via Wandoo Street. Enter after 4pm for night parking, $10 flat rate (payable at machine).

    Public Transport: Please refer to TransLink for bus schedules and routes.

    Bus: James Street near Robertson Street Stop 8A is situated adjacent to the entrance to the hotel. The bus has a set route, including Brisbane city and inner suburbs such as Teneriffe, Toowong, Auchenflower, Milton and Petrie Terrace.

    Taxis/Uber/Ride Sharing: Pick up and drop off points are straight at the front of the entrance.

CEO & Co-founder, Max Kelsen

CEO Nicholas Therkelsen co-founded Max Kelsen in 2015 to provide big data and machine learning services to clients large and small. In his position as CEO, Nicholas is responsible for designing and executing strategic vision, project design and management, fiscal and legal governance, and team building. Prior to this, Nick was consulting for companies across a range of industries to assist with their technology requirements. Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland.

Nick has a broad range of expertise spanning business, economics, sales, management and law. Nick has a deep theoretical and applied understanding of cutting-edge machine learning techniques, and has been widely recognised as a domain expert in this field. He is a regular speaker at artificial intelligence meetups around the country, and also at conferences such as Gartner ITXPO, NSW Gov DC, Urbanity and IBM Think 2018.

Nick also co-founded Cityshape in 2016, an application focussed on aggregating property development planning data and serves as its CTO. Likewise, in 2017, Nick co-founded cognitiveCX, a platform for enterprises to analyse and process unstructured data from any source.

Automation Head - Finance, Blackbook.ai

Natasha Lam is the Automation Head – Finance at Blackbook.ai, she specialises in working with organisations to identify automation and AI opportunities, transforming human process for automation and ensuring organisations understand their data. Having worked in multiple operational and commercial roles at Aurizon, Virgin Australia, Arrow Energy and overseas, she is able to work across many customer engagements, where positive ROI is paramount. In addition to this she champions the importance of delivering customer value added projects and the need to provide a real outcome-based engagement to demystify the hype of AI.

Natasha has recently added the role of Marketing Manager to her profile, the newly created team is responsible for Blackbook.ai’s brand, social media and community alignment. Blackbook.ai plays a pivotal role in Brisbane’s AI ecosystem, from being one of the first movers in Brisbane for RPA to now one of Australia’s largest privately owned and operated AI and Automation consulting Company, delivering real value to the bottom line.

James is a digital leader and agile project manager with a keen interest in technology and creativity. Over his 10-year career he has led teams of specialists to deliver apps and websites for Spotify, MTV, Northwestern Mutual, Brisbane Festival and many others. James is also an experienced general manager, having overseen operations and digital transformation initiatives in technology businesses and arts organisations, yielding improvements in profitability, productivity, culture, and customer satisfaction.

James is Senior Digital Lead at Personalised Plates Queensland, Non-Executive Director at Metro Arts, and an MBA candidate with Deakin University.
