Donna Bonde

Donna Bonde

Director, Rapture Consulting

Donna is the Director of Rapture Consulting, which helps businesses and brands make sense of consumer attitudes and behaviours. She had been providing research insights to clients for over 10 years working in other people’s organisations, but by 2012 she decided it was time to strike out on her own. She left Melbourne, got settled in Brisbane and has thoroughly enjoyed building her consulting brand.

Donna has always been focused on pioneering ways and means of researching consumers and championing the importance of research in keeping businesses and brands relevant. In her experience, she's found that clients often underestimate how much they can learn from consumers. So far Rapture Consulting has worked with clients based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Prior to heading up Rapture Consulting, Donna managed qualitative research projects in agencies like ORIMA Research, Lewers Research and The Leading Edge - where she worked with clients representing some of Australia’s largest brands and Australian State and Federal Government departments. Donna also has a background in psychology, having learned, taught, and practised psychology in education centres all over Australia. All in all, it means she knows a thing or two about getting customers and consumers on side.

Emma Carter

Executive Creative Director, Beyond Creative Thinking

Emma Carter is a creative. She believes in combining, strategy, design and technology to create ‘Total Brand Experience’. She founded an award winning design agency in the UK and has now bought her expertise to Brisbane.

Emma has worked with:

  • Corporate Travel Management (CTM) - One of Australia’s largest privately owned travel companies and is now listed on the ASX. She’s working with them to develop a series of new digital tools which will change how customers book and monitor business travel.
  • Platinum Property Partners (The UK’s fastest growing property franchise). This included initial brand creation through to a multitude of branding projects and events over 8 years.
  • IconicShift, a UK based company founded by Mike Harris. The genius behind 3 iconic multi-billion dollar brands including First Direct bank and Mercury Communications. I developed a digital platform for his new venture which reflected his brands message and used the latest development techniques.

Emma was regularly invited to speak at business events in the UK, her work has appeared in leading London design magazines, having also been asked to contribute to numerous columns. 

Since launching her branding book ‘Beyond the Logo’ at Google campus, it has not only gained global sales and become a best seller on Amazon, but is now also recognised as a core text at some top UK Universities.

Sam Hobson

Sam Hobson

Digital Content Specialist, Suncorp Bank

Graduating with a degree in English and a pointed interest in film, Sam Hobson began his career as a freelance journalist, and worked for four years reporting on the Arts for national street mag Time Off.

Following that, he began work as a digital copywriter for Suncorp Bank, and for the last two years has worked as its Digital Content Specialist, responsible for the bank’s website development - focusing on user experience - and also the bank’s online content strategy.  Sam is also the editor for the bank’s blog, Insight.

Cat Matson is Brisbane's Chief Digital Officer, overseeing the citywide Digital Brisbane strategy. Under the strategy, Cat is responsible for driving economic growth through digital adoption in the SME sector, strengthening the city's digital start-up ecosystem and facilitating Cyber City initiatives. Recently named as a rising female in the technology sector by the Sydney Morning Herald, Cat is considered an industry leader when it comes to the digital space, with a savvy business mind and a robust understanding of the wider business context.
