This includes high level people and talent management, product creation and brand marketing.  Her specialties include idea creation, strategy development, implementation, coaching and development.

Amy Roche is a marketer, customer experience advocate and a self confessed gadgets & appliance geek. Working in executive marketing positions in both the US and Australia, she has spent the last 19 years in the appliance and retailing industries. First as a marketing manager at The Good Guys, later owning her own Good Guys store and now the Director of Retail Rockstars an experiential marketing, training and in-store event specialist.

Recognising her national advertising spend was steadily increasing along side her growing disengaged customer base, she set out for answers. With degree’s in both marketing and science she performed a year long “experiment” in her own store.

In an effort to re-connect and add value back to her customers locally, she started inviting experts like; food bloggers and paleo guru’s to do experiential workshops in-store for her customers. What started as an “experiment”, quickly revealed an amazing synergy of reciprocity, lots of social chatter, foot-traffic and yes even sales!

Several years of research later, she has developed her own bespoke methodology for pulling off an experiential in-store event called, Experience by Design™, which is outlined in her upcoming book later this year called, Retail Rockstars, the 5 game changing steps to becoming a highly memorable, profitable and locally famous retailer.

She believes retail experience and in-store events are key drivers to customer loyalty, advocacy and survival of bricks & mortar retailers.

Michael McGovern

Michael McGovern

Co-Founder and Head Brewer, Black Hops Brewing

Michael McGovern is the Co-Founder and Head Brewer for Black Hops Brewing. He has worked as a professional brewer for the past 8 years, brewing award winning beers both in Australia and on the world stage. Along with his two good mates, Dan and Eddie, they have created a unique beer start-up on the Gold Coast, capitalising on the use of social media and online content marketing in a traditional business space.

They not only brew beer, but produce a popular blog and podcast series about starting a brewery on a budget (Operation Brewery) and are set to release their first book in the coming months. Due to open the doors of their Brewery and Cellar Door in May 2016, they have already achieved much success, including brewing a collaboration with Activision - the largest entertainment franchise in the world.
