Panel Facilitator: Liam Fitzpatrick

Founder & Head of Communications, Commswork

Liam has over a decade of experience in media and tech comms across North American/European/APAC markets. He's founder of Commswork, a consultancy helping business leaders refine their voice in industries plagued with jargon. Liam is also host of Cut the Cliches podcast, which explains the buzzwords in business and technology.

Graduating from City University with a BA in Journalism and Psychology, he now helps translate what businesses want to say into something their audience want to hear. Working with The Walt Disney Company for a number of years in London, he helped craft its narrative around brand partnerships. He has offered counsel to clients including Google, Microsoft, Havas, iProspect and TBWA.

As head of ANZ comms at Freelancer.com in Sydney, he worked together with the chief exec to develop corporate strategy and coordinate with product heads. The communications campaign for StartCon, Australia's largest startup conference, helped sell out the 3,500 person event.
