Here’s a sneaky peek at the speakers for this event.

Mike Swaby

Mike Swaby

Strategy Manager, Telstra Enterprise.

Mike Swaby is an advocate for better leadership through self-improvement.  He believes nobody is born a leader and that we can always work on a better version of ourselves.

Mike’s purpose is to improve businesses by building strong teams and by improving the leaders that lead those teams.  Experience and research taught him that being a super-empathiser is the strongest way to build teams that collaborate and for leaders to grow their capability.  He builds environments where teams flourish because they are understood and leaders thrive because they are empowered and trusted.

Mike’s leadership journey started with a career as a professional leader in the British Army.  Trained at UK’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Mike went on to lead and manage large teams of soldiers during peacetime and operations.  This gave him the experience to study different leadership and management models, adapt them and use them under the most intense pressures.  Having gained credibility with frontline experience, Mike went on to serve the executive leadership in the British Army HQ.  He transferred his skills and experience to the private sector where he has gone on to hold a number of different roles which have all involved leadership.

Sally Prosser

Sally Prosser

Voice Coach

Sally Prosser is a voice coach who’s all about helping you speak with confidence, clarity and charisma.

She says unless you’ve sworn a lifetime vow of silence, your voice matters and is key to connecting with others – whether it’s one person at a coffee catch-up or a thousand people at a conference.

Sally’s background is quite diverse but speaking is a common theme.

She ran a Speech & Drama studio, read the news on radio, reported it on TV and was the spokesperson for Queensland’s largest water company.

Sally holds a licentiate teaching diploma in speech and drama with the Australian Music Examinations Board, as well as degrees in Journalism and Law from the University of Wollongong.

Oh, and she has recently gone TikTok famous, building a following of more than 230 thousand.

Nicolette Baker

Nicolette Baker

Marketing Leader, MST Global & Personal Brand Strategist and Owner, the nb effect

Nicolette Baker is a Marketing Leader and Brand Strategist with a vision of helping people to not only define, build and monetise their brand, but bring it to life.

She juggles a full time in-house leadership role in Mining Technology and her personal brand business all fueled by caffeine, a desire to help brands build authority and scale their digital footprint.

It all started at a young age for Nicolette. Being young and not having a voice or authority she realised this was something that everyone needed to be successful. And once she started her career life it became clear this was the key to getting ahead - that and producing great results!

Nicolette not only helps company brands to tell compelling stories, but also works on a 1:1 capacity with personal brands by helping them to believe in themselves and that it's ok to promote yourself, something that can still be considered taboo, or a Millennial thing!
