Programmatic Pioneer, Walsh Consulting

Cara has held senior roles focused on product development and product marketing, predominantly within a digital and ad tech.  She was Director of Digital Ad Products at AT&T, a Fortune 5 company in the US, where she build the companies first programmatic ad buying platform - the fifth largest in the US.

She was the first Manager of Digital Brisbane, where she developed the city's first digital strategy and launched key programs including Coder DoJo, Visiting Entrepreneur program and Power Up Business digital education program.

She has worked as a publisher, marketer, as well as on the agency-side - And won't say which she likes best. She loves building out new products and services from the ground up and running design sprints with the customer. She is currently the Chair of QUT Business School's Advertising, Marketing and PR school and a mentor for River City Labs current accelerator program.

Digital Media Portfolio Manager, Reload Media

Michael Chen is Reload’s Digital Media Portfolio Manager and a self-confessed digital advertising nerd.

Michael is responsible for setting the overarching strategic direction, management and operation of Reload's programmatic and media buy department.

With a background in Business Management, Advertising and Mass Communication he graduated from The University of Queensland in 2013 and was selected in that year's Class of Future Leaders. Michael spent the past five years helping clients transform into the new digital advertising age. He brings an analytic and extensive knowledge of digital media, programmatic and paid search advertising to some of Reload's most valued clients.

In 2013, Michael founded MyMediaTradingDesk, a digital media buying service that is passionately driving the programmatic digital advertising capability of marketers and privately owned agencies. With the growth of programmatic buying and its ability to bring multiple media types into one platform for rapid evaluation, improvement and reporting, it is poised to be one of the most effective models for media buying. Or it can be a complete waste of time and budget. Hearing from MP will certainly set the record straight for you and give you the real-world topics to take back to your business to determine whether you're on the Waste or Win side of the ledger.

Senior Digital Manager

James is a senior digital manager passionate about strategy, innovation and value delivery. He's led the delivery of apps and websites for the likes of Spotify, MTV and Northwestern Mutual, managed digital marketing in B2C and B2B contexts, and developed products leveraging augmented reality, machine learning and artificial intelligence. 
 
When not working or hosting a panel, James may be found studying for his MBA with Deakin University, or volunteering in arts and cultural organisations.
